Cold Damage
In early January, we experienced freezing temperatures.
Below are photos of a cultivar of Acalypha wilkesiana planted in
our landscaping. Soft-wooded tropical shrubs were among the plants that were
adversely affected by the visit of arctic air. But, as you can see in the
photo at right, it has recovered to its previous level of splendor.

| Mealy Bug Destroyers
eat scale and help eliminate sooty mold on your plants! Don't kill
them; they are not pests, they are beneficial insects. Don't confuse
them with mealy bugs! Put away that can of insecticide!
(Please note that we do not sell mealy bug destroyers; we just don't
want you to kill them if you happen to see them on your plants.)
